Mechanism of Action

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDS) exert a potent blocking action on prostaglandin synthesis. Diclofenac : gastro-intestinal disorders, nausea, diarrhoea, epigastric pain. Paracetamol : Rare
Contradictions
Diclofenac : absolute : gastroduodenal ulcer, severe hepato-cellular insufficiency, severe renal insufficiency, children under 15 years, pregnancy (from 6th month) and lactation. Relative : patients receiving oral anticoagulants, combination with other NSAIDs. Paracetamol : - allergy to paracetamol.- hepato-cellular insufficiency
