Pharmacological Properties

Vitamins : These are organic substances necessary for the correct functioning of the body which humans body can not manufacture wholly. Mineral salts : they act as oxidising agents or reducing factors in several enzyme reactions.

Mechanism of Action

Vitamins and mineral salts are involved in numerous biochemical reactions such as enzyme.

Side Effects

At the normal doses, the drug is well tolerated.

Contradictions

Haemochromatosis, haemosiderosis.

Observations

•Due to the presence of vitamins A and D, the total doses administered must be taken into account in case of combination with other preparations already containing these two vitamins.
• Allow at least 2 hours to elapse in case of treatment with tetracyclines (iron disrupts the absorption of the latter)
• Do not take 6000IU of vitamin A per day during pregnancy unless there is a specific and justified reason
