Flazine is used in the treatment of burns, infected wounds and infected dermatoses

Mechanism of Action
Silver sulphadiazine gradually releases the silver ion, whose bactericidal power combines with the bacteriostatic power of the released sulphonamide

Side Effects
Eczema, Irritation

Contradictions
• Hypersensitivity to one of the components.
End of pregnancy or lactation
Neonate and premature infant

Observations
• Before changing the dressing (in principle every 24 hours), the skin should be cleansed.
In case of extensive burns, the systemic absorption of sulfadiazine exposes the patient to the general complications of sulphonamides (haematological, renal)
In subjects suffering from renal or hepatic insufficiency, avoid application to open wounds, especially ulcers
