African Day Celebrations

Each year on May 25, the African continent celebrates Africa Day. Africa Day was first held in 1963 in the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa, when 32 countries formed the Organization of Africa Unity (OAU). The OAU’s mission was to bring freedom to African countries that were still under colonial rule in the 60s, defend their sovereignty, uphold human rights and restore the dignity of the African people. Africa Day continues to be celebrated both in Africa and around the world acknowledging the progress that Africa as a continent has made.

Shalina Healthcare, market leader in making quality healthcare products affordable and available across Africa, celebrated Africa Day on 25th May, 2017 with the staff and customers. There were celebrations, competitions and prizes for the winners.

We are proud to be part of the growth journey of Africa and supporting it to become a better and healthier continent.
