Laxatif is a stimulant laxative, which acts on nerve endings in the walls of the intestine and the rectum. It causes the muscles in the intestine to contract more often and with increased force. When the intestine contracts it moves the gut contents along faster, thereby relieving constipation

Side Effects

Following side effects reported rarely, Diarrhoea. Abdominal discomfort reported rarely.

Contraindications

This medicine should not be used in children under 10 years of age unless on medical advice.>

Observations

Not to be used in blockage of gut (intestinal obstruction) severe dehydration.>

Dosage
Unless otherwise prescribed by a physician, the following doses arerecommended Constipation: Adult and children over 10 years 1 to 2 tablets at night ( 5mg to 10mg.) Children 4 to 10 years one tablet at night (5mg) prior to Radiological Procedure and surgery Adult : 10mg. at night time for two daysprior to procedue. Children Half of Adult dose
