They facilitate the enzyme performance to regulate biochemical reactions which are essential to life and health. Thiamine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B1) is a water soluble vitamin which plays an essential role in carbohydrate metabolism and deficiency of which may result in severe neuromuscular syndromes such as beriberi or Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome. Riboflavin (Vitamin B2), a water soluble vitamin, is essential for the utilization of energy from food. Riboflavin is also necessary for the functioning of pyridoxine and nicotinic acid. Nicotinamide (Vitamin B3) - water soluble vitamin B substance involved in electron transfer reactions in the respiratory chain. Calcium Pantothenate (Vitamin B5) is a component of coenzyme A which is essential in the metabolism of carbohydrate, fat and protein. D-Panthenol (Dextro panthenol) and the racemate panthenol are included in vitamin preparations. Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6), a water-soluble vitamin, is involved principally in amino acid metabolism, but is also involved in carbohydrate and fat metabolism.
